About Jacob Thompson

I’m Jacob Thompson. I grew up in Post Falls, Idaho, and graduated from Post Falls High School in 1999. After graduation, I joined the United States Marine Corps, where I served honorably for four years. Following my service, I relocated to Austin, Texas, where I spent 16 years working for various government agencies, providing security in the Middle East. During that time, I got married and had two beautiful children. Eventually, I decided to move back to Idaho, and now I live in Coeur d’Alene.

Seeking a career change, I saw a growing need for backflow testing and irrigation services. In 2023, I started Blu Backflow LLC, but I noticed that customers were often looking for more comprehensive services. With that in mind, I’ve launched Northern Trails Landscaping & Lawncare with the aim of providing customers with a full-service landscape experience—a place they can return to and enjoy with family and friends!
